We have tried: We tried to wash the velvet, it didn't shrink after washing. It dries quickly, the edges twisted slightly into a roll when sewing. When cutting, it is good to lay all the parts in one direction (velvet looks different on each side, depending on how light falls on the hair). This velvet does not need to be ironed, but if you still need to iron it, we recommend ironing only on the reverse side at a low temperature or with steam. The seamstresses from our sewing workshop have prepared a simple comparison of different types of velvet for you.
The fabric measurements needed for sewing basic garments and home textiles, can be found here .
