Compared to muslin, which is very soft to the touch, this cressed cotton fabric is a little firmer - stiffer. You can certainly use the material as clothing (summer blouses, dresses, tunics, etc.).
Before sewing, the fabric should be soak in hot water without chemicals, so it shrinks.
