With cold batik paint, you can decorate textile products in an original way without the need of hot water. The powder is in a bottle with an application cap, into which you pour water to prepare the paint for use. With batik paint, you can create distinctive patterns, such as spirals, stripes, circles, marbling and various shapes according to your imagination. You can also use the powder itself for loose batik. The colors have
clear and constant color shades , reactive dyes are generally one of the best quality dyes for fabrics.
They can be washed in the washing machine. You will also need baking soda, kitchen salt and a plastic bag for coloring.
Instructions for use: 1. Use textiles made from purely natural materials for dyeing. If the substance contains an additive, the ability to absorb color is reduced.
2. Pour lukewarm water into the bottle. The temperature must not exceed 50°C - there is a risk of color deterioration. Mix and shake thoroughly. Let the powder dissolve thoroughly and shake the bottle a few more times.
3. In order for the colors to adhere well to the fabric, it is necessary to soak it in a solution of crystalline soda before applying the colors. Dissolve this in hot water - 1 kg of soda is enough for a 5 l soaking bath. Add 8% salt.
4. Soak the fabric to be dyed in the soda solution and wring it out thoroughly. Fold it and string or scrunch it as you wish. Place it on a piece of plastic or foil and use the application cap on the bottle to apply individual colors. Apply only as much as will "fit" into the fabric - the color should not flow around.
5. Wrap the dyed textile in foil or a bag and gently squeeze it with the pressure of your hand so that the color gets well into the center of the textile. Make sure there is as little air as possible inside the bag.
6. Leave the bag wrapped for at least 2 hours (we recommend 24 hours). The exposure time affects the intensity of the discoloration.
7. Then unpack it and rinse it in lukewarm water. As soon as the released excess color stops flowing - i.e. the draining water is only slightly colored - fix the colors on the textile using "deer soap" (so-called core soap). Soap the entire textile from all sides and rinse thoroughly.
8. Then rinse it again, this time you can use warm water.
9. We recommend hand washing the first two to three times, after which you can wash in a washing machine at 40°C.
10. Do not dry in direct sunlight or directly on radiators.
