Woven elastic, width 40 mm

Smooth elastic is stronger, suitable for waists of clothes or under the breasts to better hold the clothes in place, e.g. for trousers, dresses, jackets, etc. You can also use it for skirts.
It is firm in tension.

We have tried: We washed the elastic at the temperature specified by the supplier. After washing, 1 m of elastic shrank by 2%. During the next test, we steamed the elastic with an iron and after ironing it shrank 8% on 1 m. That is why it is important to take account of shrinkage before cutting and sewing the elastic.
