We have tried: We washed the material at the recommended temperature of 30 °C, since it is 100% cotton, we must expect shrinkage of 3-5%. In our case, the material shrank by 3% after washing. We must expect shrinkage when cutting or pre-shrink the fabric.
The fabric was very easy to work with - it didn't slip, dried well and wrinkled slightly, but was very easy to iron. We used universal machine needle, size 70
.
After cutting, the edges of the material were slightly frayed, so we recommend cleaning them with an overlock or overcast zigzag stitch.
Before sewing, the fabric should be soak in hot water without chemicals, so it shrinks.
