Silicone elastic is elastic and strong at the same time. You know it mainly from flexible bead bracelets. It is a must for anyone who is engaged in creating jewelry. It is composed of several intertwined fibers . We recommend it for making costume jewelry bracelets, necklaces, etc. It is sold on a large spool 11.5 cm high, with a hole diameter of 7.5 cm. The diameter of the entire spool including the elastic is 17 cm.
Our recommendation for how to tie a knot tightly so that it holds: a surgical knot and a classic flat knot behind it worked best for us. Do not cut the ends of the elastic immediately after the knot, but leave them longer and hide them in the beads. It is a good idea to add a drop of superglue to the knot. After it dries, we recommend pulling the knot into the bead to avoid unnecessary strain.
