The metal creasing foot is suitable for quick creasing of fabrics. The presser foot pleats one layer of fabric and can simultaneously sew it to another non-pleated piece of fabric. It is attached directly to the needle bar. Then the fabric you want to gather is placed under the foot. The second fabric (the one you don't want to gather) is placed in the middle of the foot. Holding the non-pleated fabric at the front or tugging at the back affects the amount of gathering. The presser foot has a universal design , therefore it is suitable for most domestic sewing machines.
