Silk-finish threads made of mercerized cotton. They are perfect sewing, quilting and embroidery threads, suitable for the finest work, especially of cotton or linen. They withstand high temperatures , especially when ironing.

Mercerized cotton is treated by so-called merceration, when the gloss is increased by the action of sodium hydroxide while the fibers are stretched. Such cotton is not only shinier, but also softer, firmer, color fast, has brighter colors and is more resistant to abrasion and shrinkage.
