You can use the flat elastic band to make swimwear or underwear. . It is sewn around the edge of the bra's cup shape, into the lower edge of the swimsuit and into the strings around the neck and chest. It is sewn inward to reinforce the stitched edges. It is firm in tension.
To prevent the elastic from sticking together, a fine chalk powder is applied to its surface. This is not a reason for a complaint.
