You can use the flat unsewn elastic to make a swimsuit or underwear. It is sewn around the circumference of the cup shape, into the lower edge of the swimsuit and into the cords around the neck and chest. It is sewn inward to reinforce the stitched edges and not pull out. It is firm in tension.
To prevent the elastic from sticking together, a fine chalk powder is applied to its surface. This is not a reason for a complaint.
