Description of goods

Set contains foam 10x50x85mm, needle, 6pcs of dyed red, orange, yellow, green, light and dark blue wool, 2 fleeces of white and brown natural wool including instructions.

For dry felting you need 3 important things - strong foam, sheep wool and felting needle.
Foam serves as a mat on which a piece of sheep wool is laid and it is pierced by felting needle. It should be thick so as not to brake very thin needle in case it penetrated foam up to the table board.
Felting needle have on both side petite grooves into which wool fibers are caught and by piercing wool the caught fibers will braid together. Needles are mostly offered in 3 thicknesses: thin, middle and thick. Thick needle is perfect for the beginning of projects when you need to form of felt body of figure etc. On the other hand, thin needle is good to finish details.
A bullet is essential for felting. Take a piece of wool, crease it a bit in your hand, place on foam and pierce several times by needle. Turn wool a bit and pierce again for several times (actually, you ball it into foam and pierce at the same time). After while, the bullet starts to take on its shape. Continue in piercing till the bullet get reinforced and tough enough. Always pierce on the spots where wool is "protruding" out of shape. Do not batter into wool, just pierce finely and gently so that fibers wouldn´t spoilt.
