Needles

Needle is very old instrument invented as a tool for connecting of materials during process of making dress. First produced needles were designed to pierce furs and they had no eyes as needles of modern days have. Modern needles for hand sewing have holes, called the eyes, at the blunt end to carry thread or cord through the fabric or other sewn objects after the pointed end pierces it.

Needle is basic instrument used to make garment and connect various parts together. Apart from tailors, shoemakers, upholsterer etc. use it as well. It consists of three parts: eye of needle for threading, body of needle and tip designed for piercing in material. Needles are made of metal but they used to be made of bones or wood. They are used both for manual handling and into special sewing machines. As relative instruments there are punches and pins.

Even fairy-tales know that high quality needle is the most important aid for every tailor and embroiderer. We offer needles for hand and machine sewing, needles in industrial machines, twin needles, needles for bead stringing. Upholsters can choose upholstery needles; those who work with leather can use special needles for leather. In czech Republic we have imported needles for those with visual impairment - they are a real miracle for everybody who has trouble with pulling thread into eye of needle.
