Into category "Other fashion accessories" we have placed ties, bow ties, shoelaces and slippers.
Ties are an accessory which is part of the men's wardrobe for more than 350 years. b> Is that a long time? Yes, you are right, nevertheless it's true. Their history dates back to 1635 when Croatian soldiers came to Paris to support King Louis XIII. Their traditional dress was complemented by a coloured shawls they wore tied around their necks. Ties soon became part of the French army uniforms. Gradually, the word "la Croate" developed into the word "la cravatte" which is still used today.
The eighteenth century saw rapid development of ties and at the turn of the 18th and 19 century, Brian George Brummel significantly influenced their development. In his view, every man can become a gentleman when he wears a simple dark suit and tie. Brummel became an authority on clothing in his time and men still wear dark suits, white shirts and black shoes, as it had pioneered Brummel.
After the Napoleonic wars countless variations of neckties and shawls appeared. In 1827, Honore de Balzac introduced for a first time the necktie into the literature with the treatise The Art to Bear a Necktie i>. During the 19th century it has become an integral part of men's wardrobe. What is certain, that even though ties were up once and down another time, they are very popular among men. Among the most recognized brand of ties ranks Pierre Cardin and Yves Saint Laurent. Fashion trend of ties in the beginning of the 21st century were set by fashion houses like Armani, Gucci, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana.
According to fashion historians, however, tie has no practical function, it only acts as aesthetic. Etiquette determines use of ties. They are being tied mainly to the wide-collar shirts b>. Their tying is not easy for a beginner but when you get into it, it will become for you quite easy peasy. You can create up to 85 variations, however, there are five types which are the most used:
1) Windsor knot b> - is thicker, wider and triangular, it should emphasize self-confidence and credibility of the person
2) half-Windsor knot b> - is more modest variant of Windsor knot, it uses symmetrical triangular knot and it is matching to any shirt or suit. It looks best when tied of wider ties
3) Manhattan knot b> - being used for a narrow, decent and slightly asymmetrical appearance, ideally suited to the standard fastening shirt. It looks best when tied of wider ties of heavier material
4) Cross knot b> - rather wide knot but not more than the Windsor knot. Suitable for any shirt and it is tied of the wider ties made of lighter material.
How you tie your carefully chosen tie, it is entirely up to you. Like what kind of tie you acquire into your wardrobe to match with other fashion accessories and complement your suits. So far, we have focused solely to men, now it´s time to look at women. In other accessories we have prepared for them beautiful coloured slippers that will keep you warm not only in winter but also in the summer if you have in your home parques or t tiles, from which cold rises even in the hottest days.
The last item worth noting are the shoelaces. But the question arises whether this piece of cord has in our lives so much space as it once had. Shoelaces are a nightmare for runners, hikers, climbers, cyclists and skaters. For athletes they are definitely a thorn in the side because they want to have their way without difficulty, which laces often not allow them because they use to undo just at the most inconvenient moments. Manufacturers pull the imaginary battle against shoelaces with Velcro, Kevlar or rubber. But us, die-hard enthusiasts, nobody will make us forget the laces because after all they are still in many cases necessary. P>
