Tatted laces have come from Orient to us. They have nice decorative appearance. The basic aid for making such tatted laces is this tatting shuttle. It has oval shape, working thread should be coiled inside. According to difficulty of sample we use 1-2 shuttles. You can divide them into 2 halves. The base of lace is tatted double-knot. Then you create various tatted sample by using of decorative loops, teardrops and curves as well as various beads. Instructions for making of tatted lace can be downloaded here
